Baby Persian Jirds in Week 8.

Here are some more photos taken at about 8 weeks. Their tails and feet are as big as mums but they are about a quarter of her size making the tail particularly look really long.

There is another one honest.

I'm completely convinced that they are all little girls now. I had to make the really difficult decision to find homes for them as I can't leave them in with dad and I don't want another large cage for them. With any luck mum might produce another litter early next year although she is getting on a bit. Update: There was one male baby who stayed with us. Sadly mum developed a womb infection and had to be spayed by the vet, but it did have the advantage that she got to live with dad and the male baby until she finally passed away at well over 6 years old, outliving Eric. The girls all went to good new homes.

I'm really photogenic!

It's not as easy as it looks to get photos this good - I took about 60 to get these three although I do have another half a dozen that are as good as these.
